Gaimin Gladiators Takes Home The Lima Major 2023 Dota 2 Championship
Gaimin Gladiators claimed The Lima Major 2023 Dota 2 championship trophy defeating Team Liquid 3-0 in the grand finals as they gave an overwhelmingly dominating performance. This was the first-ever Major win for several players of the team, specially the first Dutch player to win a Dota 2 Pro Circuit Major. Also it was Gaimin Gladiators' first-ever Dota 2 Major tournament win.
A Short Glimpse At the Grand Finale
The Grand Finale took place at Arena 1 on March 5th, Lima, Peru. The event was organised by 4D Esports and Epulze. 18 teams in total took part in the tournament and the prize pool for the tournament was $500,000 USD.
Gaimin Gladiators’ performance was very dominating in the tournament, although Team Liquid fans had some hope after their incredible 2-0 victory over Talon Esports in the Lower Bracket finals. It was a BO5 match and Gaimin Gladiators defeated Team Liquid by 3-0.
Gaimin Gladiators took home $200,000 USD and 400 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) points as the winner of The Lima Major 2023 Dota 2 championship.

This year a lot of firsts happened at the Dota 2 Lima Major, -
Gaimin Gladiator’s first-ever Dota 2 Major victory.
Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov, Quinn "Quinn" Callahan, Erik "tOfu" Engel, and Melchior "Seleri" Hillenkamp’s first-ever Dota 2 Major win.
Seleri is the first Dutch player to win a Dota 2 Pro Circuit Major.
The first ever DPC Major to be held in South America.
